Yoga and Ayurveda: Sister Sciences in a Family of Healing

Monday, September 08, 2014
I love the New England autumn - the air is fresh and crisp and the colors changing. The back to school rhythm is always a nice, grounding pace for families and the anticipation of a great fall season lies ahead.

The practice of Yoga has always been a "living Yoga" for me and following my heart has always been the guiding, grounding mantra. Over time, I have opened my heart, mind, body, soul and spirit to evolve in the direction of my higher purpose and dharma. To grow in my potential as a spiritual person, established in serving daily life and all the people who trust and rely on my love and support has been important to me.

By continuing to serve my mission as a teacher and healer, as well as being the guiding force leading the business of yogaspirit®, I find myself at a very new place. It is a timely place which arrives when emergence the therapeutic applications of Yoga and Ayurveda are trending in the medical fields and new opportunities abound.

yogaspirit® has always had a strong philosophy, based in collaboration and affiliation, and as its name implies, believes that uniting and supporting each other creates a greater unity and whole. Over the past two years, the relationship between Kerala Ayurveda and yogaspirit® has grown into a joint venture collaboration as one entity and I now join Dr. Jayarajan Kodikannath, Academy Director in Fremont, CA, as the new CEO of both Kerala Ayurveda and yogaspirit®.

I believe that strengthening human consciousness and making each other the best we can be in mind, body and spirit helps to contribute to the larger sustainability of our planet's most precious resource... our humanity.

As the company grows globally to connect with our parent company in India, I invite you to share the journey and grow with us.

Many Blessings & Namaste, Kim
